StrongLumio power supplies with an integrated hub and a 3PIN socket for connecting a sensor/switch aim to simplify the installation of lighting in furniture, shorten the installation time, and thus overall make working with StrongLumio brand lights more pleasant.
3PIN switches/dimmers see Related assortment are connected directly to the special 3PIN socket in the transformer body and ensures switching on/off or dimming all connected LED strips/spotlights equipped with a Mini connector at once. This makes the lighting installation very simple. To the Mini connectors (4 to 8 depending on the power of the transformer; the capacity can be expanded with 356328 StrongLumio LED distributor 6x Mini connector Mini 0,25 m) just connect the LED strips equipped with the connection cable 285094 StrongLumio connection cable 1,8 m Mini connector or spot lights, to the 3PIN connector with the inscription SENSOR, connect one of the switches/sensors on offer.
The power output of the power supply must be higher than the total wattage of the lights. A 20% power reserve above the LED load (consumption) is recommended, especially for continuous operation (min. 8 h/day) we recommend increasing the reserve up to 30%.
Example of calculating a suitable power supply (LED strip with power consumption 12W/m - length 3 meters):
3 × 12 W = 36 W (consumption LED strip)
36 × 1.2 = 43.2 W (minimum power of the power supply)
36 × 1.3 = 46.8 W (minimum power of the power supply during longer lighting). In general, the higher the reserve, the longer the life of the power supply (transformer)
To power a 3 m LED strip with an output of 12 W/m, a power supply with a minimum output of 43,2 W (46,8 W) must be used.
The power source should be at least 0,5 m away from other electrical appliances. Place to ensure sufficient ventilation - heat dissipation.
